Job Specification Gyrodata is seeking a Project Manager to support the SharePoint Portal development project and Information Technology teams.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated Project Manager with knowledge and experience in tracking and managing internal IT related projects.
Candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and knowledge of Microsoft Project or other similar tools.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Formalize project requirements with initial emphasis on Microsoft SharePoint portal project.
  • Tracking, specification, and project administration of multiple information technology projects.
  • Works together with the assigned project teams and consultants to assist the delivery of successful software and hardware implementations from start to finish.
  • Creation of specific project plans and specifications for all new projects.
  • Creating corporate standard documentation for projects.
Education
  • IT related Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Formal project management training required, PMP a plus
Skill/Experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years Project Management experience in the computer software industry.
  • Microsoft SharePoint portal planning and design.
  • Project management, issue management, risk identification and risk mitigation planning.
  • Project planning and tracking tools - including Microsoft Project or similar.
  • Experience building overall project plans, specifications, and life-cycle project tracking.
  • Strong collaboration skills a must.
  • Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Effective communication with technical individuals.
  • Enthusiastic, quick learner, self-starter.
Preferences
  • SharePoint design and implementation experience
  • PMI's PMP certification
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
  • Familiar with Peoplesoft implementations
